Much like tax, the world of data security is in constant change.  With new requirements and growing threats, it is becoming more difficult for a tax professional to stay up-to-date and current on safeguarding their client data.  In this class, we will review recent changes to requirements imposed on tax professionals as well as provide practical steps to meet them without disrupting the tax professional’s daily workflow.

  • Describe a plan to deploy and test data safeguards to be within compliance with the FTC requirements.
  • Demonstrate how to create a schedule and agenda to keep current on changes in security.
  • Demonstrate how to monitor your written information security plan proactively to account for necessary changes.
