This course delves into more advanced topics related to rental properties, including short-term rentals such as Airbnb, the sale or other disposition of a rental property, how best to expense rental asset acquisitions, cost segregation studies, and qualifying for real estate professional status.

•Describe how a taxpayer qualifies for real estate professional status and the tax consequences of doing so.
